Staying safe on Hytale servers
Common scams and how to avoid them, for players and parents.
Most Hytale servers are run by people who just want others to have fun. A few are not, and scammers target players everywhere. These habits keep your account, your money and your computer safe.
Protect your account
- Never share your password, even with server staff. No real server needs it, and staff will never ask for it.
- Only log in on official Hytale pages. Fake login pages that copy the real one are a common way to steal accounts. Check the web address before typing anything.
- Turn on two-step login for your game account and your email if you can.
Don't download "free" extras
Offers of free ranks, free premium, cheat clients or "mod packs" from a stranger are a common way to spread malware. A server never needs you to run a program from a random link just to join. If a server asks you to install something, check it with the server's official website and other players first.
Be careful with trades and money
- Buy ranks or items only through the server's official store, linked from its website.
- Don't pay other players outside the game for items or accounts. There is no way to get your money back if they disappear.
- Selling or buying accounts is against most game rules and often ends with the account being taken back.
Keep personal details private
Don't share your real name, address, school, phone number or photos with people you only know from a game. Be careful with anyone who pushes to move the conversation to a private app.
For parents
Look at the server's rules and its Discord together with your child. A well-run server has clear rules, active moderators, and a way to report problems. Talk about what to do if someone makes them uncomfortable: leave, block, and tell an adult.
Report problems
If a server on this list runs scams, asks for passwords, or breaks the listing rules, report it. We review every report.
